It is for this reason that we have introduced a free HIV support product to ensure that you and your family have full access to confidential HIV testing and treatment within the critical 72-hour window period after accidental exposure. This greatly reduces the possibility of becoming HIV positive.

This service is available to you, the client and your immediate family. One phone call to 1st for Women Insurance Brokers provides access to over 2 800 doctors in medical centres throughout the country.

The following benefits will be provided:
  • once at the doctor, you will be provided with a free HIV-test
  • if the test is negative, you will be provided with Anti-Retroviral treatment, Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD) therapy  and the morning-after pill
  • if the test is positive, you will be provided with STD therapy and the morning-after pill
  • an ongoing phone-in counselling service will be provided to all users of this service
  • counselling to the value of R3 000 per family is provided per incident
  • in the event of the unfortunate incident of rape in your home, you will be given R2 000 for home security improvements.
