She Shoots, She Scores!

It is a well-known fact that there is far less sponsorship, coverage in the media, awareness and opportunity for women in sport than their male counterparts.

With this in mind, we decided game-on - let's sponsor some phenomenal South African sportswoman!

To date we have sponsored dynamic and ambitious sportswomen including:

Showjumper Tossy Raynor and the 1st for Women Showjumping Team including Kim Rabjohn, Debbie Becker, Tamlyn Clegg, Anne-Marie Esslinger, Laurin Whitehouse and Caryl Flax. Tossy started her riding career in 1964 and now competes at top level. In October 2005, whilst preparing for the South African Derby, Tossy injured her neck and was told by doctors that she should never ride again. But, almost three years later, Tossy decided to return to the showjumping competition arena. In the first show she competed in, a World Cup Qualifier, she finished in second place. Tossy is a quiet modest person, a dedicated and conscientious rider, who is passionate about her horses and showjumping.

Mountaineer extraordinaire, Deshun Deysel. A high altitude climber with mountaineering experience spanning over 12 years, Deshun has tackled five of the world's formidable Seven Summits and her goal is to conquer all seven. This is something no other South African woman has ever accomplished and Deshun is set and determined to be the first. Born in an Eastern Cape township, Deshun moved to Gauteng with her family when she was 13. At that age she already dreamt of one day climbing Mount Everest and her story is proof that one does not need to be rich to make your dreams come true. In 1996, earning just R2 000 a month in her job as a schoolteacher, her dream became reality when she was selected for the 1st South African Everest Expedition. Deshun is happiest when on a mountain and, since that first expedition, she has been on many other high altitude expeditions around the world.

The first lady of SA motorsport, Clare Vale. Clare started racing in mid 2004. She jumped in the deep end, racing a Shelby CanAm sports car in the Nationals. It was a steep learning curve, but she learned quickly and soon became competitive. She won her first race at Killarney in Cape Town in February 2006. During 2006, she was offered to drive in a Subaru STI in Production Cars, which is one of the most competitive national formulae in the country. She raced the Subaru for the first time in Durban in 2007 at the A1GP street race circuit. Clare likes to describe herself as fast and feminine.

These three fantastic women have certainly done us proud.

You go girls!
