Oprah Winfrey has the power! 1st for Women, in association with First National Bank and Woolworths and MySchool sponsored Ms Oprah Winfrey’s “You Have the Power” event which took place in Johannesburg on Monday, 30 November 2009. This exclusive O, The Oprah Magazine reader event included a talk by Ms Winfrey on how one can learn to tap into their inner power. Robyn Farrell, managing director of 1st for Women Insurance attend the event and had the following to say: “Being in the presence of Ms Oprah Winfrey was an absolute privilege and an experience that I will never forget. She has an electrifying aura about her – a special spark that makes everyone really listen in awe. Her words were honest and inspirational and I am certain that every person in the room felt like she was speaking directly to them. “For me, Oprah is a survivor, an opinion leader, a heroine, an astute businesswomen and a testament to a woman’s strength and ability. She has the power to transform, to nurture, to motivate and inspire. It was truly an honour to spend the morning in Oprah’s company.”
